Well kept pool, weight room as well other amenities. Friendly staff and generally good vibes. We love it!

"The R.H. Johnson Recreation Center is already a fantastic place to spend time, but the restaurant inside truly takes it to the next level. I recently had a meal there, and I have to say, the food was absolutely perfect! A huge shoutout to Nathan, the cook, who clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work, and Nathan’s attention to detail made all the difference. Everything was seasoned beautifully, cooked to the right temperature, and served fresh. It’s rare to find such high-quality dining within a recreation center, but this spot exceeds all expectations. If you’re looking for a great atmosphere paired with a delicious, professionally prepared meal, look no further. Five stars for the service and five stars for Nathan’s incredible cooking! I’ll definitely be back for more."

My dad passed away in August 2024 and it took us a year and a half to get through probate. I found out in April 2026 that the recreation centers of Sun City West charged over $850 in various fees and “violations” without giving any notice such that I could avoid these fees by hiring someone to take care of the issue myself. When I called them about it, they would not budge on lowering or waiving the fees. They even put a lien against the house, something I also had no notice of until April 2026, nearly a year later. These people are profiting off of the death of my father. It’s disgusting.

Went to excellent Automotive Restoration Club of Sun City West car show featuring more than 450 classic cars. Very impressive.
